A frosty winter morning in the Carse of Stirling, near Craighead, Blair Drummond.
[The copse is growing on a raised earth mound, known as Ashentree Barrrow, which is believed to be an ancient burial site. Traditionally, farmers protected such barrows by building walls round them. There is reputedly a tunnel from the barrow to the Pictish Broch in the woods near Coldoch House but this has never been verified.]
